Upper Management is back, and the sheer name of this crew begs an interesting question that is often overlooked in the snowboard world. How do leadership styles play into snowboarding and which one works best when filming a snowboard video? Interestingly enough, the ambiguity surrounding this question resides deep within the fact that snowboarding is subjective. Different locations, different riders, different sponsors—the list goes on for all the factors that impact how a crew operates.
One thing that isn't ambiguous, however, is that a top-down management style seems to do wonders for the Upper Management crew. Maybe it's the management style of choice in Calgary, or maybe it's the fact that everyone has the same vision for the video. Either way, it's clear that these guys work well together and know how to make a snowboard video. Take notes.
