There’s a lot to say about Gabe Ferguson. You could reference his feature interview from Issue FIVE to find out a good amount, but a bits changed since he was 168 pounds filming for Brown Cinema's Knights of the Brown Table. Weights probably stayed the same though.
Since that interview, he's gotten a pro model, bought a new truck, and joined the Europeans over at Bataleon Snowboards. The last comes as a recent move—today to be exact—and it got us curious about everything he's been up to as of late. So, amidst a spliff break in Revelstoke last week, we caught up with Gabe to talk his new board, The Ratio, along with a few other life updates. Check that out on the gram now.
P.S. - If for some noble reason you're doing a dopamine detox and not on Instagram, we dropped a few of the more pressing questions below.
Best part about Bataleon so far?
So far, everyone I've met is super sick. Everyone's just a boarder, and meeting new people is always the shit. They're also out of Europe so it's kind of fun, just a bunch of Euros, getting to hang with them and just rage a bit.
Was it tough to switch brands?
It's hard leaving something you love, for sure, especially when you have a family there and you know all the people. That's hard, but I think that's life and making new changes and taking new steps leads to new opportunities, new friendships, new experiences. So, overall, I'm just to juiced to board and hang with some new homies. And obviously hyped on how the board has been riding, it's going to be good.
