We don’t often think of the time we have, it just passes us by. It takes breaking the cycle of our habits to truly consider what we’ll do with this finite resource.
Louif Paradis’ patience is derived from a commitment to himself and what he deems rideable and worthwhile. If it doesn’t check his boxes, the wait continues. While we’ve often been taught that perfection is the enemy of the good, for Lou this standard is just what he needs. Often, five days would disappear without a clip, as he looked for the right spot with no hint of urgency. But when everything lines up, the results speak for themselves.
It has been a gradual shift in mentality, but one that has come to define his approach. Maybe raising two sons has affected his viewpoint, some sort of fatherly wisdom he’s gained. Perhaps it’s the vast wilderness behind his house that he surrounds himself in. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Adopt the pace of nature; her secret is patience.” This seems truer than ever. Now watch Running Perennial to get glimpse into his viewpoint.
