Helsingin lumilautailijat has had a strong presence in Finland for some time now, and soon enough, we'll have three iterations of MELTER to thank for that. This year, in addition to MELTER III, they decided to diversify the Finnish streets with an all-female crew, United Chaos.
As the name entails, 8 girls united together to go film in the streets for the first time. A daunting task, but when you have 7 others to relate to and progress with, you don't really feel like a newcomer.
"We had heard some of them saying that they'd want to film in the streets in the future, but also we knew that it's really hard to start, since you need a crew and a camera etc. Soooo we wanted to get this group together and set up a little budget, to get them stoked to go out in the streets. They spent one week in Kuopio and one week in Levi and Calle Hasselblatt was there to capture it all."
