We talked about it a bit with Bona Fide, but back in 2020 Joonas dropped a part that felt like a goodbye to snowboarding. The clips proved he was still in his prime, but a not-so-cryptic YouTube caption hinted that maybe the grind had finally caught up with him:
"Filming a legit full part is one of the best challenges snowboarding has to offer, but it comes at a price that many can’t afford to pay. And the older you get, the more expensive that price tag becomes because time is money. I will always love you snowboarding, but I can no longer afford to pay the price tag."
Turns out, that wasn’t quite the end. Since then, he’s been quietly dropping footage on his YouTube and the latest addition keeps it classic Joonas: pure Finnish street snowboarding, filmed over three years from 2022 to 2025.
