Back in October, we met up with Jared Elston and Sevi van der Meer in New York City to watch Arc'teryx’s new video, Every Island Has a Name, on the big screen. It was the global premiere for the high-tech, detail oriented brand’s first contribution to the snowboard video landscape, and the offering felt more comparable to an episode of Planet Earth than any full-length as of late.
Sevi’s graceful control, Elena’s hard-charging style, and Jared’s full throttle power are accompanied by a custom score and cinematic mastery that's in a lane of its own. The footage is stitched together into an audiovisual spectacle that weaves through wild Alaskan descents, heavy drops in France, and deep pow in Japan. Doubling down on the project, Sevi starred in and also drove the ideation of the video from start to finish. Put on some headphones—or blast the volume—and enjoy as the Arc'teryx crew delivers in a big way.
