Watching Alaska footage can be unrelatable to the average viewer. Hell, it can be unrelatable to snowboarders that are considered “experts.” We all have that friend that says, “I could ride that if I could afford a helicopter.” As dumb as they may sound, it is true that it’s very hard to capture the intensity and gnarliness of Alaskan descents.

Cristoph Thoresen and Jerome Tanon—some of the best filmmakers in the business—absolutely did just that. The riding is heavily justified through the use of every video medium available, from POV, to drones, to long-lens. Featuring the footage from The North Face’s Circle of Madness, Victor De Le Rue just delivered one of the most blood-pumping, action-packed parts snowboarding has seen in a while. Camping in Alaska for days on end, building step-downs into AK lines, and general insane mountaineering are just the tip of the iceberg for this part.

Catch an adrenaline buzz from your couch and witness true gnarliness embodied with “Victor De Le Rue in Alaska.”
