Most new products are not successful...yet the story of perseverance, creative genius, and Torment's Fall '23 collection persists. An anticipated week, let's get into it.
Torment Weather Report: Last year there wasn't enough snow to hold the Ski World Cup, so it was cancelled. This year, Alpine World Cup organizers are facing an (objectively) controversial glacier excavation to make sure the Mid-November event actually happens.
Imagery of excavators tearing into the Theodul glacier in Zermat has sparked a POW-led petition that calls on FIS to:
- Implement a target-based sustainability strategy - including a roadmap to achieve a 50% emissions reduction by 2030.
- Publish FIS’s environmental impact with full transparency.
- Adapt the competition calendar to reduce the impact of travel and respect the changing climate.
- And use FIS’s political influence to advocate for climate action at a governmental level.
"It's a long cold winter in Minnesota but when you've got it like this it's almost paradise..."
