You can’t afford to be trashy, but you can afford to be opinionated about street snowboarding. Another week, let's get into it.
Torment Weather Report: An urban farm on the roof of Fenway Park, dubbed Green City Growers, is producing 6,000 pounds of produce a year.
"With 2,400 total square feet of growing space, the beds can cultivate anything from A to Z – 'asparagus to zucchini,' says Chris Grallert, president of Green City Growers, and a local farmer who grew up going to Red Sox games as a kid."
Leaf peeping is a term used to describe the activity of viewing and photographing the fall foliage. Everyone loves it, but residents of one New England destination, Sleepy Hollow Farm, have had enough.
Hundreds of cars line these narrow roads to get the perfect flick, but theres a caveat: these roads don't take you to a tourist destination, but rather private residences. This year, neighbors have petitioned to close to road to outside traffic from September 23rd to October 15th.
Kenji "Andy" Ando has been at the forefront of Japanese snowboard culture for some time now. He recently got a signature Ride Warpig at the age of 50. Never too late.
"The graphics were drawn by Ryosuke from Dayze, who I had wanted to have drawn for a long time, and who expressed my image. If you work hard and have fun then keep riding, you can still get a signature board when you are 50 years old."
Benny Urban's Vans Hi Standard Pro boot has hit the shelves. To accompany it, the marshmallow/burgundy colorway also made it onto the mid snow MTE and the sport low skate shoe.
Benny killed two birds with one stone on this one, also offering a glimpse into a two-year project he's been working on with Sebi Springeth, Nils Arvidsson, Antti Jussila, and Dominik Wagner.
