You know what to do if you're in the state of Colorado. Take the train, ride the RTD bus, or expense an Uber to your mom's credit card. While we wait for the Issue SEVEN release party to continue at the Fox Theatre tomorrow, let's get into it.

Torment Weather Report: It's been an arid past for the United Arab Emirates, but that could change following the UAE Research Program for Rain Enhancement Science's plans to increase cloud seeding missions and rainfall levels through artificial intelligence.

In case you forgot, cloud seeding involves "artificially generating rain by implanting clouds with particles which then encourage rain to fall."

Dr Abdulla Al Mandous, Director General of the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) and President of World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), backed this innovative, AI-driven method after stating, “Achieving global water security requires more than conventional approaches; it necessitates continuous innovation and the deployment of advanced, data-driven and AI-supported technologies."

Feel free to reference the International Rain Enhancement Forum as a platform to discuss "the latest scientific and technological advancements in rain enhancement."

The big snow photo in the beginning. It was hard to figure out what this year's theme was going to be and I think that photo kind of unlocked the door for us to understand how we were going to start it. And in most years we start with snowboard action off the bat. And this year we created that space between the cover and your photo with some blank pages. We get to the image from big snow and it unlocks this lifestyle chain and then gets into the density of it all.

Jake Durham interviewed Stark (co-owner of Torment Magazine for you laymen) on the name "Torment" and all things Issue SEVEN. Full read here.

"Follow Markus Eder and Victor de Le Rue as they return to the legendary spine walls of Haines, Alaska, to explore unknown territory in sport—and friendship." 45-minutes of some pretty insane big mountain footage, but halfway through we were reminded/distracted by an old Snowboarder interview he did back in 2016. Still made it to the end though.

Arthur Longo, Bryan Fox, and Jadyn Chomlack headed to Hokkaido for "13 days of convenience store dieting, 'how much is that in euros', the filthiest van imaginable, merch, soft shell crabs, Umeshu Sodas, Yakuza Onsens, rival crews, indoor smoking, dam drops, van tows, the nicest crew going, night rides, Smirnoff Ices, hiking, artistic inspiration, egg sandwiches." Washed Up is now live for your viewing pleasure.

Following the dustbox, SPIRIT video, Bryden and Cooper conceptualized and designed the first issue of Spirit Mag. Issue 1 features photography from Erik Pousette, Mikaela Kautzky, Ryan Collins, Reid Smith, Mons Bøhmer Rud, Cooper Whittier, and Bryden Bowley.

50, 11x15 - 64 page newsprint copies. Available now.

Jill Perkins returns to the booth for a second episode, catching up with Jules and Grenier on everything she's been up to since her last interview. A lot's changed since that COVID chat—new sponsors, new video parts, new snowboards, but the same mindset on getting shit done.

Great to hear what's been on Jill's mind—everyone should check it out—but we were also curious what's been in her travel bag. Wonder no more...11 staples that she packs here.

Alt angle from one of the best clips we've seen so far this season. Louif Paradis tagged along on a Salomon trip to Furubira, Japan last February, and what came of it was one of our favorite photos in Issue SEVEN. The clip found a home in Salomon's new vid, my clay angel.

"We faced a few challenges but we pushed through and made the most out of our time there. These guys all rip on and off snow, and I’m excited to ride with them again soon!" — Louif on his experience with the team in Furubira, Japan.
