Who knew that our new boot with Salomon could double as skydiving footwear too?

Two years in the making, the X APPROACH LACE SJ BOA® TORMENT boot has finally landed on shelves. We teamed up with Salomon and designed a new take on their classic unisex park and freestyle boot. The red, yellow, and black collab features some premium materials, along with their Fit To Ride construction, and, of course, BOA® support to eliminate heel-lift.

That's a lot of technical jargon, so we decided to put the boot to the test. It was summer at the time, and given chairlifts were carrying mountain bikes instead of snowboards, we settled for the second best option: skydiving. Rumor was Salomon rider, Blake Moeller, had been certified for a while, so we met up with him in Utah to tag along on a session. Even at 11,000 ft, the boots held up as some of the comfiest, lightest, and most supportive footwear to ever grace that plane. Thanks for the angles, Blake.
