The second chapter of the Thrice Baked series finds Katie and Stefi moving from backyard builds to some of the best backcountry zones of the season. Everything from side hits to contests, road miles, and podiums deep in the Kootenays.
"We start in Tahoe linking with Max Warbington and Man Ramp at Brain Bowl — lapping home-dug features, vibing, and digging out from a 9-foot storm. From there, we enjoyed the low-angle powder tour at Soda Springs with Pat Bridges, playing it safe as the snow kept piling up.
Then it’s two flights to Seattle, a truck loaded with sleds, and a full push north into Nelson, British Columbia, for RnD — Robin Van Gyn’s women’s backcountry event at Whitewater Resort. Two film days, one contest day, 16 riders, and a shot at cash, awards, and Natural Selection seats.
Katie lands 3rd place, takes home the Clinic Award, and secures an alternate spot for Natural Selection. Stefi earns the Jeff Keenan Approved: Most Proper Award. From there, a night of celebration, then straight back on the road toward Revelstoke."
