Each year, the timespan that constitutes a full-length seems to get smaller. Bummer, sure, but the fact that days of 30+ minute videos may be behind us is definitely understandable. Climate change is surely factoring into your window to get clips, with our Instagram-primed attention spans only compounding this reality. Such a realization has been a long time coming, but something dawned on us right after we came to terms with this new norm. Every video's BTS counterpart is getting longer at the same time.
There's a common theme as of late. A video drops, there's a 2-3 month grace period, then the extensive raw clips come creeping in. We've seen this go down with LANDLINE. (which may have initiated this), the Spotheads, and Dylan Okurowski's recent footage, just to name a few. A subliminal marketing strategy that prompts another a rewatch? Maybe, but it definitely offers an opportunity to appreciate how gnarly + time-consuming some spots can be. This is definitely the case with WOP, as they extend a 26-minute raw cut into the '22 season on their home turf. A slew of Finnish spots that rejuvenate our appreciation for Dr. Luti & Co.
