A public submission that made the back cover of Issue FOUR | Photo: Nathan Harmon

Once again, the time is now! Public submissions for Issue EIGHT of Torment Magazine are now open. It may seem daunting sending in your personal work, but every year we've done this, photos make it into our pages. The back cover of Issue FOUR came from Nathan Harmon, and that wasn't even snowboard-related. Just goes to show that we're truly open to anything—drawings, writing, scans, poems, and any other idea that crosses your mind is fair game.

This year, we're approaching submissions with a new angle as well. Considering the limited space in the physical magazine, we're going to take editor’s selections and do an online photo essay with our favorite images that we couldn’t fit into print. Let's get your work seen, because we can’t do this without the community—and we wouldn’t want to.

Check the guidelines below, and send your stuff in ASAP. Who knows what could happen…

Here's points as a guide:

- JPEG images 2000 pixels (long edge) @ 72ppi

- File names should somewhat resemble this format: Rider_Trick_Location_Photographer.jpg

- Submit using WeTransfer, Dropbox, etc. AND BE SURE TO LABEL FOLDER WITH YOUR FULL NAME BEFORE YOU COMPRESS IT

- Final submissions should be in DNG format if Digi and Hi-res jpeg if film

- If scanning, scan at a high resolution (a spread for instance should be min 4000 pixels or higher)

- Deadline is June 15th
