Around this time last year, we were all still cherishing everything that went down at Vivint Arena for the inaugural BE SOMEBODY event. For the first time in (arguably) history, the S Temple steps were overcrowded with snowboarders, skiers, and everyone else who prioritizes snow over the NBA hardwood. Still a bit blown away with how they got permits to that stairset, but we're glad they did—it allowed for a needed change of scenery in the contest scene. It's been a while since anyone has felt that energy surrounding a stairset.
Now, a full year later, the same hype surrounds the event, and the Dustbox teamed up with D0bunezumi this time around to offer an afternoon packed with pizza, pipe hits, and everything else you can imagine for the perfect beach day in Utah. No better place to rekindle this event than at the newly coveted Woodies pipe (22ft is daunting, but there was no pressure in sight). Enjoy as Nate and Mo document Jonah Harris spinning decks all day, Tommy Towns shooting photos, and the rest of the Dustbox ripping + fostering a vibe that's hard to match.
