Academy Snowboards has long been a breeding ground for progressive riding. Their prominent roots stem back to the early 2000’s, where the styles of Jonas Michilot and Scott Stevens set a precedent for snowboarding as we know it. Now, the team has entered a new era, and, while more than a decade has passed since Scott Stevens iconic 2007-part, their standard for riding has only aged like fine wine. The torch has been passed to young guns like Derek Lemke, and his Midwest tear showcases why you should expect nothing less from a snowboard company older than you. According to Chad O, “Derek has been lurking in Michigan over the last couple years after spending some time in Tahoe”, and his cross country prowl does not go unnoticed.
"Derek is the silent killer of silent killers. If you've ever ridden with him or hung out with him you know he lets his snowboarding speak for itself. After spending a few years in Tahoe he moved home to Michigan and has since gone to work on the streets of the midwest. Enjoy this line up of street hammers put together by D. Holcomb"
