Back in October, we caught word that Sage’s winter had been cut short in Switzerland. He overshot a jump at the Stomping Grounds, and his ankle paid the price — definitely not how you want to kick off the season, let alone a premiere tour for his new project, Eternal Descent. We already had plans to film a Day In, Day Out with him; Jerm was planning to tag along and we were gearing up to shoot a full day in everyone’s favorite college town for the second stop of our Issue EIGHT Release Party. But when we heard Sage was sidelined from all the European dates, we figured the whole plan might be out the window.
What people forget, though, is just how resilient Sage is. Fast-forward a month and he’s rolling into Satellite Boardshop, ready to hang with the crew before the big night. Jerm stuck with him from the moment they touched down at DIA, capturing everything that goes into premiering a project — signing bald heads, meeting drunk college fans, and even ripping a few smelling salts for good measure.
