There are certain events that catalyze careers. It’s true of Heavy Metal, X Games, DIYX, and without a doubt The Uninvited Invitational. Over the past few years, Jess’ brainchild has only gotten bigger. With a well thought out setup, heavier than plenty of street spots, its influence on women’s snowboarding seems to compound annually. The Uninvited Invitational has carved out a distinct pocket of progression and opportunity.
And if there’s anyone who’s felt that firsthand, it’s Iris Pham. In 2024, Iris took second at the Uninvited Invitational alongside a stacked class of up-and-comers. That result helped propel Iris to where she is now, and even though she was sidelined from this year’s event, we tagged along for one of her favorite weekends of the year.
