There's a few things that tend to happen once the snow starts falling. Google Earth becomes your best friend, connecting flights turn into the bane of your existence, rental vans get packed to the brim, and Tuffy's hopefully give you more arthritis than Instagram. That's just the tip of the iceberg for the logistical hoops that any given crew has to jump through to get the shot, and, in an effort to show you what The North Face crew experienced last winter while filming for blitz!, we’re bringing you the latest Day In, Day Out episode.
March 23rd, 2024 - Nearing the midway point of the season, Spencer Schubert, Kennedi Deck, and Cole Navin set up shop in Umea, Sweden for a few weeks. The Scandinavian snowpack was delivering, and Spencer woke up on this given day with a specific spot in mind. The rental car was packed tight, and the crew headed downtown to get to work. Take a backseat between Kennedi and Stark and spend the day with the TNF crew as they work with sand, ice picks, shovels, and civilians to get to that celebratory chicken dinner.
